My son was radicalised by right-wing extremists at 14 - now I realise I enabled him
Extremism – particularly extreme right-wing [ERW] narratives, misogyny, and racism – are a growing threat to young men in the UK, according to a new report from the Home Office. John, 28, from the north-west of England, was radicalised by the ERW at 14. His behaviour became so concerning that he was referred to Prevent, the counter-terrorism scheme that has come under scrutiny for its “premature” closure of Axel Rudakubana’s case.
